Meatballs with Spinach Mushroom Sauce

The creamy rich beef sauce for these meatballs is seasoned with mushrooms, spinach and honey mustard from our Taste the Seasons Spinach Mushroom mix. We use frozen meatballs for convenience, but you can make you own using your favorite recipe.

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1 (28-32 ounce) bag frozen meatballs, unseasoned

1/4 cup butter

1/3 cup flour

3 cups beef broth

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 package Taste the Seasons Spinach Mushroom mix

1/2 teaspoon salt

In a large skillet, heat oil; brown frozen meatballs. Remove and set aside.

Melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook until golden brown. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly and cook for 1-2 minutes. Add the heavy cream, Spinach Mushroom mix and salt. Cook and stir until thickened. Add meatballs and reduce heat; simmer 15 minutes or until meatballs are heated through.

Serve over egg noodles or mashed potatoes.
